WELDED FITTINGS

We are the exclusive distributor of “B.C., Local, and Chinese” welded fittings in the Philippines

Using welded fittings has many inherent advantages over other forms.

  • Welding a fitting to the pipe means it is permanently leakproof
  • The continuous metal structure formed between pipe and fitting adds strength to the system
  • Smooth inner surface and gradual directional changes reduce pressure losses and turbulence and minimize the action of corrosion and erosion
  • A welded system utilizes a minimum of space

Product List

Elbow 90° & 45°

These pipe fittings are used to connect tubes at 90 or 45 degrees angles. These parts can be used to change the direction in pipes. With superior materials for the manufacture of these fittings, Akua Union made sure you are getting the best products for your money.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Tee

A type of pipe fitting which is T-shaped having two outlets, at 90° to the connection to the main line. It is a short piece of pipe with a lateral outlet. Pipe Tee is used to connect pipelines with a pipe at a right angle with the line. Pipe Tees are widely used as pipe fittings.

Tee Reducer

A type of pipe tee used in pipe and tube fittings. It is in the shape of T with two ends of equal size and the third one slightly smaller. This type of pipe fitting can also consider size reduction from one of the run ports to the other.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Concentric Reducer

This pipe fitting is used to join pipe sections or tube sections on the same axis. The concentric reducer is cone-shaped and is used when there is a shift in diameter between pipes. This pipe reducer may be used when there is a single diameter change or multiple diameter changes.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Eccentric Reducer

A pipe fitting used in piping systems between two pipes of different diameters. The same fitting can be used in reverse as an eccentric increaser or expander. They are used where the diameter of the pipe on the upstream side of the fitting (i.e. where flow is coming from) is larger than the downstream side, and where there is a danger that vapour may accumulate

Slip-on Flange

Basically, this is a ring that is placed over the pipe end, with the flange face extending from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter. Slip-on flanges have a lower material cost than welded neck flange and are more easily aligned.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Blind Flange

A flange that does not have a hub or a bored center. Blind flanges have the face thickness of a flange, a matching face type, and similar bolting pattern. Blind flanges can also be used to seal a nozzle opening on a pressure vessel.

Weld-o-let

A branch butt-weld connection fitting that is adhered to an outlet pipe to minimize stress concentrations in the piping area. These are the most popular type of branch fittings, belonging to the buttweld fittings family.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Thread-o-let

A type of self-reinforced branch fitting used whenever threaded branch connections are required from the pipe header. Mostly, it is used for small size piping with a low-pressure application.

Sock-o-let

Sock-o-let is used for 90-degree self-reinforcing branch accessories and is suitable for small instrument connections or small branch pipes. It has the same basic design as “weld-o-let” or “thread-o-let”, but its branch connection is socket weld type.

Nipple

A fitting, consisting of a short piece of pipe, usually provided with a male pipe thread at each end, for connecting two other fittings. You may also see them referred to as “barrel nipples”.

Steel Coupling

Steel pipe coupling is a very short length of tube used in piping or plumbing, it usually refers to the socket weld or a threaded on one or both ends that allows two tubes connected together.

Cross Tee

A kind of pipe fitting that be used in the place where four pipes meet together. The pipe cross may have one inlet and three outlets, or there inlets and one outlet. The diameter of the outlet and inlet can be the same and can also be different.

Available in different materials and sizes, contact our sales support for more information.

Welded Neck Flange

Also called a tapered hub flange or high-hub flange, this type of flange can be used to relocate stress to the pipes, ensuring a decrease in high-stress concentration at the bottom of the flange.
